Investment in therapy is an investment in yourself. I offer a free, 20 minute consultation call to see if we’re a good fit.
Get In TouchFees are as follows:
$250 for 50 Minute Sessions
During a consultation call, we can help you figure out your out-of-network benefits and see if you qualify for out-of-network reimbursement for services. Most insurance plans with out-of-network benefits will reimburse you 60-90% of my fee when you submit a receipt that I provide to you. Please note that I make no guarantees about the level of reimbursement from your insurance company.
I have a few sliding scale spots for those in need that are available at this time. Please reach out inquire about sliding scale slots.
Cancellation Policy
If you cancel or reschedule a session with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss a session entirely, you will be charged the full session fee. I understand that emergencies and unavoidable conflicts happen, and in those cases, we can discuss alternative arrangements to avoid the cancellation fee.
When you start therapy with me, I make a commitment to you, and I ask that you bring the same level of commitment to your journey. I reserve your session time just for you and intentionally limit the number of clients I work with to ensure I can be fully present and provide the highest level of care. Outside of sessions, I’m also investing in my own learning to stay updated on inclusive and effective therapeutic practices to best support your goals.
Insurance Policy
I do not work with insurance companies. My focus is on working with you, not meeting the limitations set by insurance. Many insurance plans encourage brief, surface-level therapy and limit session lengths, which leaves many people saying, “I understand why I’m struggling, but I don’t know how to change or move forward.”
I believe in therapy that’s personalized and allows you to dig deeper, which is often more effective in creating lasting change. For example, intensive therapy can provide significant relief and progress in a shorter time, but it’s rarely covered by insurance (though some plans may reimburse part of the cost).
If you’re curious about why many specialized providers opt out of working with insurance, feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to share more.
If you’re seeking reimbursement from your insurance company, Reimbursify can simplify the process of submitting claims and help if a claim gets denied. You can learn more about their services at https://reimbursify.com/
When submitting claims, it’s important to note that you should inform your insurance company that the sessions are conducted via Telehealth. Be aware that insurance companies, not you, determine the number of sessions they consider appropriate for your treatment, as well as the session length. Also, private information shared with your insurance company may be stored in the Medical Information Bureau, which could potentially be accessed by other parties, such as life insurance companies, in the future.
I’m happy to provide you with a Superbill (proof of service) to help you recover some of your therapy costs. However, please understand that there are many reasons your insurance might not reimburse you. This could include not having a diagnosis, having a diagnosis they don’t cover, policies that exclude out-of-network providers, or restrictions on telehealth services.
Reimbursement should be viewed as a helpful bonus but not something to depend on to make therapy affordable.
Payment Options
I accept debit cards, credit cards (including CareCredit), and HSA/FSA cards. If you plan to use HSA/FSA funds, please check with your provider to confirm what’s covered and if there are any restrictions.
